3 reasons why Art is a big form of responsibility

Most people believe that artists have no responsibilities because art is nothing more than personal expression.

Like it or not, art has a powerful impact on both you and others.

Here are 3 reasons why.

Reason 1: Make things acceptable.

For the sake of comedy and entertainment, artists can make negative things look acceptable.

For example, the idea of being a 40-year-old man-child who spends his days playing video games is something that should be considered shameful. Nevertheless, how many recent shows and comics portray this as the new normal? This is what we are starting to see in the real world. An increasing number of men are finding comfort in adopting those behaviors. Think of how many degenerate, destructive, and woke messages are injected into modern art.

All those messages are effectively changing society.

Reason 2: Reinforce positive and negative messages alike.

Starting from yourself.

If you create depressing art, you will become even more depressed. Which will make you consume and create more depressing art. Modern art (and artists) are full of uncertainty, sadness and anger. Most people in today’s society reflect this.

If you become more selective in what art you create and consume, you will see improvements in your life.

Reason 3: You might inspire others.

This is a double-edged sword.

If you work on art that is uplifting and spreads a message of truth, beauty and goodness, then you will inspire positive change. But if you create or participate in angry, sad, and damaging art, you will inspire younger people to follow a negative and destructive path.

And today, with the Internet amplifying our voices, it’s easier than before to become an inspiration for others.
