…you must push through and publish anyway.
Today, for me, is one of those days. In the past, when I only wrote for myself without publishing online, I could simply skip a day. But now that I’m publishing regularly, there are no excuses.
So, today I have to publish something, even if it’s very “meta”.
Not every day is a good day.
Some days, everything is great: the sky is blue, your coffee tastes perfect and the birds are singing just for you.
But some days… some days are just wrong. You woke up wrong, your coffee is below average and those birds are not even in tune. These are the days when everything feels a little bit gray and you feel just a little bit under the weather.
These are the days when keeping consistent (in writing, working out, etc.) is harder. Because you just don’t want to do it.
Find a way to stay consistent.
Motivational coaches thrive on these feelings.
They use them to sell you the next magic pill that promises to solve all of your problems but, in practice, distracts you from what really matters. Which is action. Plain and simple… Find a way to stay consistent that works for you.
For example, in my case, I want that first place on Typeshare and some stupid gadget on Habitica.
No big motivational techniques here… just some silly little things to push me in the right direction.
Just start.
When things aren’t right, just start acting.
Start typing, doing pushups, drag yourself through the first steps. And you will see very shortly that words will start to flow, exercises will be done and your mood will improve.
Again, no big psychological tricks here, just action.
