Have you ever complained because no one is telling a certain type of story of performing arts in a certain way?
For example, in my years in acting and drama, I found out that most actors and directors are atheists and liberals. And of course that is shown heavily in their productions.
This is a big turnoff for someone like me, who has very different values.
Instead of complaining, do this…
The temptation is to go online and complain.
Say how the world is bad and no one understands you. Or, at least, that’s what I see most people do online. What you should do instead is to create an alternative. And it doesn’t have to be complicated.
For example, for my whole storytelling and acting for conservative Christians, I’m working on a new project starting from a SubStack.
Nothing fancy or complicated.
But this is exactly the first step to creating a new sub-niche for your art.
If you have this complaint, others have it as well.
Just because I’m alone, in my social circle, to have this complaint, it doesn’t mean that there are no other people in the world that have it.
The same applies to you. Whatever it is that you feel it’s missing, start creating. And if, along the way, you meet people who have your same values and tastes, support them or work with them.
This is how new niches are born.
And this is way more useful to society than simply complaining…
