Why speed of implementation is essential for storytellers

In life, speed of implementation is essential.

Businesses grow and artists create faster thanks to it.

Here’s why speed of implementation is essential for storytellers.

1: Avoid Overthinking.

Perfectionism is a trap.

The reason is simple: perfection is just in your head. And it changes all the time.

Get your ideas down on paper quickly, and refine them later.

Most of the time, your subconscious will refine them automatically while you take a shower or are asleep.

2: Mistakes are part of the process.

Errors often lead to unexpected discoveries.

Allow yourself to experiment, make mistakes and fail.

But most importantly, learn from each action you perform.

3: Set Deadlines.

Having a deadline forces you to focus and prioritize what’s important.

Those who don’t have strict deadlines tend to procrastinate and never complete anything in time (and this includes some very famous fantasy novelists…).

4: Publish daily.

I’m not saying write daily (this should be taken for granted for storytellers).

But you should publish something short everyday.

I’ve been doing it for a while and I can tell you…

The amount of clarity and refinement you achieve is beyond amazing.

5: Find Your Golden Hours.

Everyone has a time of day or place where they’re most productive.

Find your “Golden Hour” and use them to get into flow every day.
